Backpack into Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park and enjoy day hikes in Banff National Park and Yoho National Park after exiting the backcountry.
This is a premier Canadian Rockies adventure combining multi-day backpacking with beautiful alpine day hikes across multiple park areas.

Drive from Vancouver to Canmore and stay one night at the Canmore Alpine Hostel (Alpine Club of Canada Hostel).
Enter Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park (via Mount Shark trailhead in Kananaskis Country). Some participants may fly in, while others hike in to O’Brien Meadows Campground (first night inside the park).
Note: There is approximately 1-2 km between the Mount Shark parking area and the helicopter staging area.

Different groups may choose different objectives based on fitness and interests.
Exit Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park via Lake Magog → Wonder Pass → Mount Shark Trailhead (Kananaskis Country).
Check into the Canmore Alpine Hostel for 4 nights.
For safety reasons, participants must spend at least one night resting in Canmore before returning to Vancouver.

Participants must bring full day-hike essentials plus backpacking gear for the 3 nights inside Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park.
