This guide shows how to set the Channel and Privacy (Security) Code on Motorola T600 H2O and T470 radios in a clear, field-friendly way.

What you are setting:

• Channel (1–22) - Main frequency
• Privacy Code (0–121) - Filters who you hear

Both radios must use the same channel and code to communicate.

Steps:

1. Turn on
   Press and hold the Power button
2. Set the channel
   Press MENU (once on T470, three times on T600 H2O) until the channel flashes
   Use ▲ / ▼ to select (e.g., Channel 5)
   Press PTT to confirm
3. Set the privacy code
   Press MENU again until the code flashes
   Use ▲ / ▼ to select (0–121)
   Press PTT to confirm

Note: If your radio was previously set, it may remember the last channel and code.
